I’ll vent out a few quick paragraphs on this current situation today… then the main reason for this note is pasting a note by my favorite, Sarah Tomy.. because I loved her every word. (Will be pasted in quotations and in Italic)
We know this is limited to our friends and the people we know but if we can change the attitude and thoughts of ONE person in this country at a time in hopes of them doing the same, then that is all we could have asked for!
“ORATORY, n. A conspiracy between speech and action to cheat the understanding. A tyranny tempered by stenography.” – Ambrose Bierce
A conspiracy theory is what this is spiraling into, or maybe it is just a bunch of ignorant foolish scenario composers that truly have nothing better to do then beat one another up in order to be heard by others abroad in hopes for a better living.
A counter-revolution stampeding on horses and camels? Seriously…?!!
Egypt’s population segmented into two violent raging groups all for what? Mubarak to “go” or “stay”? Is that truly the reason?
It is ironic…you walk out in the streets of total destruction and you see the army tanks, army men, and commandos all over resisting and fighting their OWN people. Which is something they are reluctant and poignant to be doing but you leave them with no choice! Those that were supposed to be used against the country’s assumed enemy in times of warfare are now used against their own citizens!
But even wars, the purpose of them is PEACE, with the pace we are going at that is far fetched. It is mere atrocity. Our current situation is not about proving who is right or wrong, stronger or weaker, or more powerful…men are at war with each other because they are at war with THEMSELVES! The intention of those protests was a call of reform and democracy, to make every Egyptian live fully with his rights as both a national and a HUMAN and that will never be achieved when we act like uncivilized savages!
You need to look beyond your partitions and see yourselves for what you truly are…we are all the SAME. The blood you are shedding is as much yours as it is his or hers. You either put an end to war or it will end all mankind. What a shame it is to watch the torture and killing of my own people by their own hands!
I am hearing all over the news and interviews that a country abroad funded this, by this I mean the “pro-Mubarak” assembly. Which wouldn’t be far from the truth, see when you are divided you are WEAKER. That state of oneness you had protesting on Friday and the days after…all for your true rights and privileges as civilians and humans that cannot be attained.
See the case is not even who caused a conspiracy because it is all MIND GAMES. If you, as a loyal true Egyptian loved your country, and respected it, you would not be selling it for a bribe- no matter how high! You would not be selling part of your IDENTITY, your shelter, and your home.
But to put it out there, I completely comprehend both crowds. Anti-Mubarak’s claiming this was simply a scheme and refuse to deem a word he said, since after all, the past decades of their living has proven to be their greatest evidence of corruption. To them, it has been 30 years of coercion and suppression. Versus the Pro-Mubaraks that have found his speech trustworthy, find him as a great leader for having lead the past 30 years. I mean you got to respect the man for his years of ruling, there are way worse regimes and quite frankly most people here aren’t ready for democracy and freedom. Proof is your current actions! Honestly people, body after body laying on the ground without pulse, beaten to death, stampeded over by others and by cars…it is a warfare created with YOUR OWN blood…is that what you truly wanted?
You do not get through the long hauls and you cannot fight the true powerful oppositions above as innocent citizens and as ONE NATION if you are not all HAND IN HAND! USE YOUR REASON, SENSE, AND MORALS!
The problem was never in Mubarak, it was never in the few corrupt ministers, or the corrupt government. The problems lie in every single Egyptian out there. You need to reflect on your emotions, thoughts, rights, and ambitions and ACT towards them positively. Yes, at first the violence seemed to be essential for you all to be heard, but now you are proving nothing expect for the fact you are NOT PREPARED FOR DEMOCRACY. That you are no where near civilized.
SAVE THIS COUNTRY!!
THE CHOICES YOU MAKE TODAY ARE WHAT DETERMINE WHAT YOU BECOME TOMORROW.
DO NOT LET YOUR RAGE AND FRUSTRATION AT THE SYSTEM AND SO OTHERS SUPPORTING OR OPPOSING IT AFFECT YOUR ACTIONS, AT TIMES LIKE THESE YOUR INFLUENCE IS IN YOUR ACTIONS- THEY DETERMINE WHO YOU BECOME- THEY DEFINE YOU!
AND YOU, ALL OF YOU ADDED UP…EACH AND EVERY ONE MATTERS- BECAUSE YOU COMPOSE THIS COUNTRY,
YOU SAVE THIS COUNTRY, ONE LIFE AT A TIME!!!
I leave you with my sister Sarah’s words’…
“YES! I confess.. I confess that part of me is corrupted, as a human being on planet Earth, as an Egyptian in the country of Egypt. Aren’t you too?
I sin, my silence contributes in the approval of corruption in the country, don’t you too?
But this is not the purpose of my note, in fact it is far from it. I write this in hope of reaching out to any soul out there so please hear me out.
We have all sinned, we are all corrupted partly in a way somehow.. Change starts with US FIRST!
The country is corrupted, partly because of us, we have all contributed in a way. So, let us not put the blame on one person, we all take responsibility in this.
و الفتنة اشد من القتل
I refuse to be part of the ” pro or against President Mubarak “. We are one nation and shall not be divided. I am a Muslim Egyptian and that is only what I am.
I call for peace and change within the norms of natural justice, I am not anti- war but pro peace.
You care about only one person who is merely nothing but a tool in a grand corporation? You think he has the authority and threads to control all of Egypt and what happens inside it? Let me tell you something, he is nothing but a puppet himself and his threads are in the hands of others. Yes corruption has eaten most of us and our country for years but let us not speak words we are not sure of, words we will be judged for in the Great Judgement’s Day. Let us not assume things and claim to know what goes on behind the curtains of this grand theater of life.
This is bigger than one person, this calls our attention to the country’s own sovereign security and peace. There are attempts out there known since dawn of history to wipe Egypt’s name from the world’s map. What has changed into chaos now is an invitation to enemies to attack, those waiting in the dark for us to fall, they stand watch us bring the country down by our very own Egyptian hands. We hand them Egypt on a silver plate!
We have made a stand, we changed history, we have affected the world’s politics on both domestic and international level.
Change is already happening because of us, we have taken down the tyranny already.. our work is now complete. Things will never go back to the way they were before the 25th of January 2011. This is a sure thing, as strong as facts of life.
So let’s resume our lives, rebuild what has been destroyed.
Let us start with OURSELVES. The anger that fuels us will only bring us down: one of the oldest and deadliest sins known to mankind, holds an explosive destruction to one’s soul and the nation as a whole.
Things have developed and reached a point where civil war is about to happen. Those we fight against now are our very own brothers and sisters. Let us rise above our anger, think of the Great Country’s interest.
I will not fight against my own fellow citizens, I withdraw.. I will not fight a war on the expense of their Egyptian blood.
Enough damage has happened, enough blood has been shed.
May God be with us all..”
